When you pick a file, it's decoded, resized, and re-encoded locally in your browser — using your device's own processing power, in a background thread so the page stays responsive, and the browser's built-in image APIs. The "Download" button just saves bytes that were already sitting in your browser's memory; nothing gets uploaded first. Our server sends you the code for this page and nothing else. It never receives your image, its filename, or any pixel of it, at any point.

As of now, this site has no analytics wired up at all — nothing is being tracked. If that changes, here is the policy it will follow: analytics would run through a self-hosted tool we control (Plausible or Umami), not a third party that profiles visitors across other sites. It would record anonymous event data only — which tool was used, the output format chosen, a rough bucket for how many files were processed, a rough bucket for how long processing took, whether it succeeded or failed, and where in the flow someone dropped off. It would never record file contents, filenames, image dimensions, or anything else that identifies what you actually processed.

There's nothing to sign up for and nothing stored about you on our end. Saved presets live only in your own browser's local storage, on your own device — we never see them either.
